Our client was riding an electric skateboard eastbound on Fifth Street on the campus of Georgia Institute of Technology. At the same time, Joseph Stockert, was riding a bicycle westbound on Fifth Street. Mr. Stockert “was trying to beat the light” and failed to yield while turning left on to Techwood Drive from Fifth Street causing a violent collision. Rogers suffered facial fractures. Case settled weeks before trial for $130,000.00.
